entstand auch der Tiger aus der Idee
einen kraftvollen Ford-V8 in ein leichtes britisches Roadster-Chassis zu implantieren. Das Ergebnis war ein kompakter Sportwagen mit beeindruckender Leistung und einzigartigem Charakter
Unter der Haube arbeitet der legendäre 4,2-Liter (260 ci) Ford Windsor V8
der fast die doppelte Leistung des ursprünglichen Sunbeam Alpine liefert. Gepaart mit einem manuellen Getriebe bietet der Tiger eine begeisternde Fahrdynamik authentisch
direkt und mit dem unverwechselbaren Sound eines amerikanischen Small-Block-V8
Produziert wurde der Tiger ab 1964 bei Jensen Motors in West Bromwich
wo die Alpine-Karosserien modifiziert und mit verstärktem Getriebe
robuster Hinterachse und Zahnstangenlenkung ausgestattet wurden. Der Mk1A
wie hier angeboten
erhielt zudem Verbesserungen in Lüftung
